Artist Research

David Hockney

In his photo joiner work, David Hockney used photos from the countryside/landscape to create something called a photo joiner landscape. He gets different images from the same location  and rearranges them to create a different look to the place.

I like them because they are interesting and creative. I also like how he leaves a white background because it makes the image stand out.

In the images I like how he uses one image to create a whole another image. Even though it is made up of one image and placed in the same order it looks like a completely different image because of the different filters he uses in every different layer of the image.

In the work I'm going to do I'm going to try and use the different images to make it look like one location, like David Hockney does

14 Selfie Homework

14 Selfie Homework

In this homework we had to take 14 Selfies in 14 days and in the end turn the into a collage. Unfortunately I couldn't fit all of them into one page so I had to put one in the background.
We had to find different backgrounds and try different emotions throughout the 14 days. Next time I think I need to try some different emotions.

PhotoBooth Images

PhotoBooth Images
These are the images I used to create my face stitch, they were taken in PhotoBooth

Full Body Stitch Portrait

Full Body Stitch Portrait

In this project we did the same in the face stitch portrait except we used our full bodies. We also used the face stitch portrait in this project, we used by putting it over our face. The background also was involved in the project.

In the end we hoped to of ended up with something that didn't look realistic!

Face Stitch Portrait

Face Stitch Portrait

What we had to do to make the stitch portrait was using Photo Booth we had to take few images and upload them onto Photoshop. Then we had to choose one of the images as a background, and cut out different shapes from the other photos and upload them onto background image.

Eventually we ended up with the stitch portrait, the idea of it was to have ended up with something that did not look realistic.

Identity Project

In this project we will be exploring the concept of identity and how we can represent this photographically.

To start with we created a montage to show our own identity.
